“Townies, for the months of July and August we will be donating all proceeds from our Karma Flow classes to Carty House, Ottawa’s only home for refugee women.
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, in 2020, the number of forcibly displaced persons worldwide was 82.4 million, more than ever previously recorded.
Of those forced to flee their homes and communities because of conflict, human rights violations or persecution, 26.4 million were refugees – half of whom were women and girls.
