DeSerres Art Store, in St. Laurent, offers Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) HS co-op students a chance to work with a professional artist to learn develop their art skills, while also engaging with the larger community.
Carty House was selected as their community partner for their summer co-op program!
The students will be using 100-year-old donated doors (Thank you Seetal Sunga) to bring refugee stories to life through art.
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Aug 16, 11am-3pm at St. Laurent Centre for the unveiling event in Centre Court!
The exhibit will be available for community viewing until Aug 31st. See you there!
This exhibit is raising funds to build a new front porch for Carty House.
The students are hoping to raise $3000.
