We had an AMAZING time at the official launch of “PASSAGE – Doors to Refugee Stories?”
Even the Mayor came by!
This is a joint project between DeSerres Art Store and the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board with the support of St. Laurent Centre – all to benefit Carty House!
The exhibit features stories from our past and present refugee women residents, and their stories were brought to life by high-school co-op art students. The community has been writing “bricks of welcome” that are building the walls!
Be sure to come by before Sept 1!
