Canada Day brought together most of residents from both houses for an afternoon of fun, connection, and celebration of Canadian culture. Residents enjoyed a wide variety of games and activities that encouraged teamwork, laughter, and friendly competition. Some residents had never had a hot dog before! Residents were also introduced to a brief history of Canada and took part in a land acknowledgement, an important experience as residents begin their new lives in Canada. The celebration was more than just a party, it was a day of community, shared experiences, and learning.
