Carty House is honoured to join over 50 other organizations in supporting Welcoming Economy – a coordinated effort focused on highlighting the social and economic contributions and successes of refugees. This summer we’ll be highlighting inspiring stories and helpful strategies to encourage all employment sectors to embrace our refugees! They will do you proud!

Since the start of the pandemic in April 2020, Second Harvest has supported more than 1,800 charities and nonprofits with more than $28 million in emergency funding. Carty House received funds to cover 6 months of our food costs! AMAZING!!! Thank you Second Harvest!

Carty House colours lit up the Ottawa sign for 24 hours today! Staff had a blast hanging out there this evening. We got to tell so many folks about Carty House! One youngster listened, then asked if she could donate $5. So many encouraging words for our residents!
